As a beat reporter covering the Syracuse men's lacrosse team, I honed in on a challenge the Orange would face in its 2023 season opener: Vermont faceoff specialist Tommy Burke. The senior, who owns every program record for faceoffs, found his way to Burlington through a connection he shared with UVM head coach Chris Feifs. Both attended Camp Dudley — the oldest continually running boys camp in America — located in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. For this lengthier feature, I talked with Feifs about their shared link and what Burke has meant for the Vermont program.
